The Christ Hospital Health Network and Premier Health announced in June 2023 an innovative collaborative partnership that will enable more patients in the region access to highly specialized cardiovascular care close to home through joint efforts of leading experts at both organizations. As part of this joint venture, Dr. J. Michael Smith is providing cardiothoracic surgical services in the Middletown area on a part time basis. Dr. Smith joins Premier Health’s John Miller, MD, at Greater Dayton Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons, located at Atrium.

In the ongoing battle against substance use disorder, Premier Health has taken a pioneering step by introducing the Substance Use Navigator program. This program, a first in the region, operates in the emergency department, assisting patients with chemical dependency assessments and facilitating connections to care, including treatment facility placements and wrap-around services.

Premier Community Health kickstarted 2023 by unveiling its new mobile clinic, providing health screenings and wellness programs in areas with limited access.
